Lady

A pandemic
one can deal with –
All heartbreaks
are quite chaotic!

If only
washing hands
helped –
The Lady
wouldn’t turn psychotic.

You

Every time I think I am getting over
you,
A friend comes home
And says,
”You’re better off, boo”;
Or
an underwear
You
left
behind,
Sneaks out
of our drawer,
And fucks with my mind;
Or
I see some guy
Walking down the street…
And I am reminded
of your
Hair,
or eyes,
or gait,
or feet –
And, no matter what therapy I have gainfully employed,
You
descend on my heart,
And I find it
destroyed.

Come Back

Come back to me when it’s the end of the year,
When we can set aside the past,
When Christmas trees mean something,
When disillusionment doesn’t last;

Come back to me, when you learn what I gave,
When I understand where I went wrong,
When life’s capable of dealing with love,
When there won’t be sadness in every song.

Come back to me, when tears have had their fill,
When sadness will give up for a change,
When winter won’t really seem so cold,
When hope doesnt feel so very strange.

Come back to me, when you realise what you did,
When all has been done and said,
When we still can, while we still can,
Know that love is not dead.
