Covid decimates the body
Love decimates the heart
So, they are allied.
Covid shows
People can never be vaccum;
Love shows
The heart is indefatigable.
They both prove to you
The strength you actually have
Surpassing that of your own hope.
Covid decimates the body
Love decimates the heart
So, they are allied.
Covid shows
People can never be vaccum;
Love shows
The heart is indefatigable.
They both prove to you
The strength you actually have
Surpassing that of your own hope.
The hits they keep on coming!
Life I suppose works this way…
But I’ve seen others happy,
Their fruits are ripe,
Their suns come to stay.
Rain seems fair for me, I guess –
It has its share of dark peace –
And, in stranger times,
Water brings so much release!
But, puddles form muck;
Falls happen; and infections;
And, most times, I resent
Most of all my reflections.
I’ve seen people hope and smile,
I know I mock them with sneers;
I wonder if my mind will choose
To accept the wishes my heart hears.
Loss and life seem intertwined;
I have made my peace with rain;
But those smiling faces and suns
Keep mocking me again and again.
I couldn’t dress you,
The way you wanted to shine.
I couldn’t touch you,
I couldn’t do your hair up fine.
We spoke of death and love,
Before you were taken away,
I really did all I could;
But oxygen blew you away.
You were my only Father!
Of all in the family, beloved you!
You’re left now, with all the rest,
My home, my childhood, my truth.
